FORMATIVE STUDY

ThyroidSupport

Decision support for thyroid management before conception and through stimulated cycles. Targets fertility-clinic intake and the endocrinologist consult that precedes assisted reproduction. Shares its developmental pipeline with ThyroidSupport `{pregnancy.edition}`, but the intended user is the fertility-clinic team rather than antenatal care.

Protocol summary

ThyroidSupport {preconception.edition} adapts the same guideline-grade core to the workflow of fertility care: euthyroid optimisation before conception, anti-TPO screening, and management through stimulated cycles. Inputs are the standard reproductive-thyroid panel, ART history, and stimulation context.

The pre-conception arm is registered on the Open Science Framework (OSF, DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/9T6BS) and shares its IRB approval with the pregnancy arm — see Ethics & governance, opposite.

Where we are

Formative usability studies are running in parallel with the pregnancy edition, with separate clinician cohorts to keep the workflow signal clean. Findings that generalise across both editions feed back into the shared core; findings specific to fertility intake stay in this edition.

The sibling edition for antenatal care is documented at ThyroidSupport {pregnancy.edition}.
